If you’re an owner of a chimney that has recently been replaced with a newer one, you may be wondering if it’s worth the hassle.
Chimney Cleaning Services are not a new company and were founded by two friends, Tim and Sam, who have been cleaning chimneys since 2005.
“We’ve been working with chimney cleaners for over 10 years,” said Sam.
“There’s no question that it’s the cheapest way to get rid of unwanted heat, but sometimes we get people who have no idea what they’re doing.
And it’s a lot easier than it used to be.””
Chimneys are a lot more durable than a standard flat roof so we’ve seen some chimneys get replaced and others get re-shelved.
And it’s a lot easier than it used to be.”
We’re just really happy to be here because we’re in this business to make people happy and we know that we can.”
As for cleaning your own chimneys, you’ll be looking for the freshest, freshest ingredients available.
If you’re cleaning a regular chimney and want to know what products you can and can’t use, Sam advises you to look up the product and how it works.””
We have a range of cleaning products that include waxes, waxes-like products, but also other types of products like ammonia,” explained Sam.
If you’re cleaning a regular chimney and want to know what products you can and can’t use, Sam advises you to look up the product and how it works.
“You can buy it online or if you buy it at a shop you can have it sent to you, but if you can’t find a shop that sells it then just call us and ask.”
“If you need something to get into your chimney then we have some of the best cleaning products out there, which include some of our own products,” said Tim.
“You can get it for around £1.50 a piece and if you use it to remove chimney debris or to clean up the chimney itself it’s fantastic for that, because it’s so soft and it will get all the dust out of the chimny.”
“If it’s not a regular flat roof, you can also try using the new chimney sweeping system, which we’ve also got a lot of experience with,” said Rob.
“The way it works is you just use a broom or a rake to sweep the top of the wall, and then you can pull it up on top of your chimny and sweep it.”
If that doesn’t work for you, there are other ways to help.
As with most of the cleaning services in the UK, Tim has an extensive cleaning range that includes a range a cleaning foam, which is great for removing chimney grime, and cleaning paper, which can be used to wipe down the walls of a house.
While you can buy cleaning foam at any shop, Sam recommends you buy from a reputable company that offers you a guarantee.
“Some companies are more reputable than others,” said Simon.
“I would say we’re always recommending reputable companies because if we do find a company that’s not doing their job correctly then we’ll definitely do our best to get the cleaning foam back.”
When it comes to cleaning your chimneys themselves, Tim said you can check the chimneys you have yourself for free.
“If you have a chiming machine and you’re in a hurry and you want to get that done, then you could get a broom and just sweep the chiming area, and if that’s the case, you could go and get a cleaner too,” he said.
So, where can you get your cleaning done?
It depends on where you live, but you can definitely find out how much work is involved in cleaning a chippered chimney.
“As you can see from the pictures, the average cleaning job takes anywhere from an hour to two hours,” explained Tim.
But, if you have the time and patience, you should be able to get a decent amount done within that time.
“For us it’s all about the cleanliness of the house and the comfort of the home,” said Tom.
